Jonathan Poliart
Jonathan Poliart's practice revolves around various media. Initially focused on painting, his work has evolved towards objects, printed images, and sound experimentation. An active member of the experimental radio collective martiensgohome since the early 2000s, producing a weekly improvisation show and live performances, he has also created various publications (books, USB drives, sound cards, vinyl records, etc.). Under the alias Sublyme Diagonal, he works solo on numerous electronic music projects, combining experimental research with techno structures. His artistic practice is transversal, encompassing the production of sonic artifacts, whether in their imagery, scenography, or their status as objects, both physical and digital.
Lieven Stockx
Lieven Stockx is an electronic musician, producer, sound designer, publisher, developer, betatester and DIYer based in Antwerp. He has released solo music under his own name, "Mist", "Kingstux" and engages in collaborations like "30 minutes of" and "Kamperen in Frankrijk". He also runs the micro-label Oei. His sound performances often emerge from systems that allow for improvisation rather than reproducing existing material. Entering into a feedback loop with the room and audience, he creates a sonic environment that invites listening. For this concert, he'll be reassembling and recycling recordings, from toys and eastern instruments to unfinished material, into a jungle and dreamlike mind voyage.
PJ Fossum
PJ Fossum (he/him) is a Brussels-based pianist, synthesist, and sound artist. Born and raised in Canada, he works predominantly in improvised music, jazz, as well as sound installations. With a career that spans Canada, New York, Denmark and Belgium his work focuses on sonic symbolic transposition, sound spatialisation, aurally transmitted music and spontaneity in both performance and installation, often with a mixture of electronic and acoustic implements. He also loves songs and songwriting and the power of melody. For this concert PJ will be performing solo using a combination of piano, electronics and tape machines exploring sonic landscapes as well as motifs woven throughout the performance.
