Dividing his life between the sea and the shore—oceanographer in the depths, musician on land—Esteban Stan draws inspiration from the hidden landscapes of the ocean floor. From these silent depths emerge a series of marine-inspired chants for voice and piano, musical impressions where the sea resonates in sound and poetry.
Almost nothing is known about her. No interviews, no clear history, not even certainty that PETITE is her real name. According to the few fragments that circulate, PETITE spent a long time working in a diner somewhere between Nevada and California. Night shifts. Scalding coffee, a tired jukebox, rain on the parking lot. It was there that she supposedly began writing her songs, scribbled on the backs of receipts. Ballads in English—slow, full of confessions and silences—in a style that evokes both the raw intensity of Lewis Capaldi and the cinematic melancholy of Lana Del Rey.
